Here we go...

So, I'm trying to improve my blogging.  Now that we are getting the show on the road I'm sure I will be blogging more. Here is the rundown:

-Our KD, N, backed out.  I am not mad at him because I understand how very huge this is, however, I am upset that he waited until 3 weeks before we start trying to tell me this.

-I was sad for a bit but then I was sitting at a stoplight on the very day that he backed out and I saw a squirrel grab a nut and run up a tree.  Right there in my car I said outloud to myself "Well, at least someone got their nut today". I had a laugh and came to the conclusion that this is for the best.

-We signed our contract with the fabulous Northwest Chryobank and we have been reviewing donor profiles.  Right at this very moment I'm waiting for an extended profile from them and I keep logging out and back into their website.  I also keep emailing them questions that I feel are important but that I'm sure they see as very mundane.

- We should be the owners of sperm by the end of the week. WOW!

- AF is visiting this week so if my caluclations are correct we will be inseminating around October 3.

-I am thankful for the NWChryo forum and for this blog because I don't feel comfortable telling my friends and family about our journey just yet.  I feel like I might jinx things.  I know that sounds nuts but I am very supersticious! I can't help it.  I'm always knocking on wood, walking around the ladder, closing the bathroom door & toilet seat and taping pennies in random places.

-I have high hopes for this first try.  I know that is crazy because I've read all of the statistics and the blogs etc but I just feel it.  October is a good month for us.  J & I started dating in October 2007 and got married in October 2010.  Fall is our favorite season and Halloween in our favorite holiday.  I am thinking positivley as if this is the only try we will need.

-So, here we go.  If you are the praying kind, please send a few up for us.

I'm a terrible blogger!!

Well, it has now been 7 months since my last blog! I have got to be the most sorry blogger there is out there in blogland.  Here is a brief update:

-J graduated from college and got an awesome job

-We moved into our new house last weekend. It is a 3br 1 1/2 bath brick house with hardwood floors directly across the street from an awesome park! :)

-We are moved, but not unpacked

-How can 2 people have so much SHIT!?

-Our 2 cats are still adjusting to our new house and have lost their minds.  Its like they are high on the nip ALL OF THE TIME.

-Our 2nd night in our new house the cats knocked over our standing grandfather clock causing it to crash and shatter all over the entire living room. :(

-I am about 2 weeks away from having health insurance which is what I've been WAITING FOR!!!!!!!!!!!

-We are going to NYC in November to visit my amazing best friend Angela and to also get LEGALLY married!

-Also while in NYC, we will be seeing Follies which is doing a 6 month test run on Broadway.  My dear Old friend and boyfriend from the 6th grade Cliff Fogle (stage name: Clifton Samuels) is making his BROADWAY debut and I could not be more proud!  He has worked for many many years to get to this point and I can't wait!

-On the TTC front - we have not started trying yet although everything that we wanted to achieve before we start trying has happened.  N is still on board to be our KD.  He has met an amazing guy and moved to ATL so J & I need to arrange for him to get a CF test to make sure he is not a carrier.  After the CF test he will need all of the std tests and then we are are ready to rumble so to speak! How exciting!!

-Our 4th anniversary is in 2 months!

-http://itsconceivablenow.com:  This is a cool new website!

-http://coricupcake.wordpress.com/: This is a great blog by Cori from the real L word which is documenting her ttc journey.

-http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cori-and-Kacy-The-real-L-Word-2/209633879075623: This is Cori & Kacy's FB page.  They are the only reason we watched the entire season this year.

Thanks for reading guys.  I should get back to work now! I know I should not blog while I'm supposed to be working but... well, ya know how it is.

New Car on the Great Stride of life!

Hi blog readers!  I haven't blogged in a week or so.  I hope this finds you all fat and sassy.  Well, as most of you know my beloved truck has been in the shop for weeks now with no luck at finding a solution so on New Years Eve J and I woke up and drove to Dodgeland of Columbia and bough a brand spanking new car! We got a 2010 Dodge Avenger.  It has 4 doors and its shiny and black.  We really needed something reliable and its just one more thing we were able to mark off of the list of things to complete before we start TTC.  There is loads of room in the back seat for babies and such so that makes me grin from ear to ear.

I also started my 2011 Great Strides campaign.  For those of you who do not knows, Great Strides is a yearly fundraiser to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis research.  Nearly all of the money raised goes directly to fund research to find a cure for CF which is a disease that my sweet niece Morgan has.  If you would like to donate to my campaign I would greatly appreciate it.  Also, if you would like to walk with us in Great Strides and start your own fundraising campaign that would be just fabulous.  Sometimes I feel bad for asking the same people over and over to donate money to the CFF but when I look at Morgan's face I know that until the day a cure is found I will keep asking, keep fundraising and keep walking in Great Strides.  Click here to donate or sign up http://www.cff.org/Great_Strides/dsp_DonationPage.cfm?walkid=7079&idUser=434772.

On the TTC front.  I still have not purchased any smiles but I have been tracking my cycle monthly and things are looking good and feeling good. I lost 8 more lbs last week but this week I have been eating everything in sight so I probably wont lose any this week. Have a great week blog people!!!
